That was a 'Time Bandits' reference for all of you guys out there who's parents were too young to have seen the movie. It was hilarious at the time it came out but you are not allowed to make fun of midgets anymore.... Not that I really want to. If you have watched game of thrones they can be pretty bad ass...
Anyway, back to the idea.... I am sitting here thinking about how difficult it is going to be to individually level the buildings and suddenly I thought... 'Shims'.... I KNOW!!!! This is going to really help with buildings that do not need a door out the shim side. What I can do is print a strip of material that is the length of the building on the sloped side. The width of the building does not matter because I can cut the strip at any point. Suddenly I have shims that fit under the foundation and prop up the building and I can still print the buildings flat.
An immediate problem that comes up is if the building needs a shim ... Oh shit... We can do stairs on the back side.... Am I good or what??? Going to need shims 2 ways and multiple sizes but 20 strips or less would provide what I need and maybe I will figure out something easier. On the fat side I can put a downward stair or two and that can line up with any doors I need to descend to the lower level. That way everything lines up and doors do not look stupid just hanging out in space. Going to need some stone and maybe wood walls too....This is going to be RIDICULOUS!!
If you didnt understand most of what I said, it's ok. Just another technical challenge overcome with brute force over subtlety.... I am GREAT at that. This technique I just figured out will be explained later.
