This is the first residential home I am placing in Waterdeep. The caretakers home belongs to the Anon family. These people work for Mirt the Moneylender and take care of his home and the surrounding grounds. Each of the family members wears a necklace that allows them to pass through the wards and enter Mirt's mansion. The family has been taking care of the property for at least 3 generations and are completely loyal to Mirt.
- Technical issues. My PLA printer wont do .5 inches so the post for the rear patio did not print and although the front steps came out nice the rear steps are a bit mangled.
-Colors - Thinking about doing this roof in a bright mediteranean red clay tile maybe matching the small roof on Mirt's mansion. Probably going to re-print the house with a resin printer to see if I can get the other details.
- Realism - I am including a picture of the caretakers home as shown on the poster of Waterdeep. The map shows a building that is 24' wide and 40' long with no side buildings although the poster shows a porch. This highlights a problem with trying to re-create something that has many interpretations. I am going to use artistic license on the buildings where it suits me. In this case the placement of the caretakers hut right in front of the entry to the mansion seems illogical. So I am going to move it a bit off the path under some trees nearby rather than front and center. May try to do the drawbridge for the mansion, that kinda looks cool!
