The table will be sectioned into 16 pieces to allow for movement and storage. To begin I need to create some edging strips for the table. These will help improve the strength of the table and allow me to put dowel rods in the ends to make sure the pieces are held solidly together in relation to each other and to prevent any warpage. 4" strips are being planed and cut into 1 1/2" strips and then glued to the long ends of the table edge. These will not have any dowel rods inserted.
