The underlayment is 1/4" MDF board from Home Depot. The paint is also from home depot paint/primer - BEHR Almond Biscuit. This is not as much for you readers, but more for me in 4 months when I wonder what the heck I used.
Good news!! The underlayment is going to be cut in many pieces and curves can be duplicated so this part will not be technical other than having a steady hand.
